On this decorative rock install we added some curb appeal to this newer Schuber Mitchell Home. First we removed the Bermuda sod and excavated 4" deep for proper metal edging installation. We installed our plants and commercial grade weed fabric. We finished it out with decorative rock elected by the homeowner after reviewing several samples placed on site for visual comparison. For this project the client had a property with no access from the main street. There was only access from the rear parking in the alley. There was a very steep hill between the house and the sidewalk preventing easy access. We decided that installing stone steps would fit the space well as a secondary access but provide easy access for visitors. Overall we ended up installing 7 steps and added some grass seed on the exposed dirt areas. Earlier this year we completed this full landscape installation project. This home in Loma Linda was surrounded by trees and the new homeowner wanted to improve the curb appeal and improve the yard. Our work began by removing several dozen trees leaving the larger trees in place. There were several drainage issues and the front yard would hold water for an extended period of time after any rainfall. We brought in 15-20 dump truck loads of dirt to improve the drainage and created swales for the water to flow around the house. Once the rough grading was complete we used a harley rake to perform fine grading services in preparation for sod. Finally we completed the work by installing 3 semi loads of sod.
