Natural materials are a great option when it comes to your landscaping.  From decorative stone to landscape boulders, the colors, texture and contrast simply cannot be replicated by alternative materials.

When it comes to building retaining walls there are many different options.  Concrete, blocks, bricks, wooden landscape timbers, boulders and natural stone are all possible building materials.  Stone is a great material for gravity retaining walls to hold back soil on sloped properties.  Retaining walls are also a great tool to prevent erosion by lessening slopes and reducing the velocity of drainage runoff water.

Using retaining walls to create terraces greatly increases usable space.  New levels for outdoor living spaces, lawn and patio areas can be very useful.  Adding natural stone steps to a terraced landscape creates access and further increases usability.
